Hanoun (BTE) Multi Cervical Rehab Unit
What is the Hanoun Multi-Cervical Unit?
The Multi-Cervical Unit is the most comprehensive cervical evaluation and rehabilitation system available in the world. It provides for the assessment of range of motion hanoun (flexion, extension, rotation, lateral flexion) with range limiters where applicable, isometric strength (570 different positions), and dynamic strengthening with weight ranges from one-quarter of a pound to 50 pounds.
Headaches and Cervical Spine Muscle Weakness, What is the Correlation?
Prolonged sitting in today's work environment along with poor posture can lead to weak neck muscles leading to strain on the muscles of the upper back, shoulders and base of the skull putting pressure on the nerves at its base which in turn radiates pain over the base of the skull and into the shoulders. Hanoun Multi Cervical Rehab allows for strengthening of the neck muscles allowing them to function in a healthier manner which reduces fatigue.
For patients who have sustained motor vehicle, workers compensation and sports-related injuries, the Hanoun is able to perform a Cervical spine and whiplash evaluation and treatment program.
The Multi-Cervical is a digitally interfaced system that allows for the real-time recording of cervical spine movement and isometric strength in more than 1,000 unique positions. The system also features a dynamic strengthening program for cervical spine conditions. The Hanoun provides an effective and reliable evaluation and treatment of cervical injuries. Traditional treatment programs have relied upon rest, medication and manipulation practices; however, the results have been limited, as an emphasis was not placed upon the functional restoration of the neck.
The Multi-Cervical enables the clinician to evaluate and restore strength and function of the cervical spine. The system has been used with remarkable success and has been featured on television news programs across the United States, Canada, and Australia.
How long does it take to complete an evaluation?
Evaluations range from 15 minutes to 1 hour (over the course of one or two days). The nature of the evaluation is the primary determinant as to the length of time spent testing. The report-writing aspect of the Multi-Cervical Unit takes 10 to 15 minutes, and the preparation of graphs and charts are automatically formatted into the program.
How long does it take for a treatment?
Treatment sessions generally range from 25 to 45 minutes in duration. Treatment frequency is usually 3 times per week for a period of 6 weeks. The treatment program is based upon the severity of the injury and progress in treatment.
